Upon arriving in Chihuahua you will be met by an English speaking driver who will transfer you to your hotel for the evening. If you arrive in Chihuahua early enough, we recommending take some time to explore the city and take in the sights of this historic city.

Chihuahua – El Fuerte
Your day begins bright and early at 5:15 am as you are transferred from your hotel to the train station to board the First Class ChePe train en route to for El Fuerte. Between Chihuahua and El Fuerte lies the most scenic and rugged mainline railroad in the Western Hemisphere, if not the World!

The train climbs to an elevation of more than 8,000 feet before descending to nearly sea level. This line took 111 years to complete due to the rugged terrain of the Sierra Madre Range and financial problems. More than 200 trestles/bridges and 87 tunnels were required to complete the task.

Upon arriving in the beautiful colonial town of El Fuerte, you will be transferred to your lodge for a well deserved night of relaxation and sleep.

El Fuerte
Today you have the entire day to relax, explore, and enjoy the amazing colonial city of El Fuerte. You will be lodging within blocks of the downtown city Plaza lined with beautiful palm trees and artwork. There is a variety of shops and cafes to enjoy, along with the El Fuerte Museum and Municipal building lined with fascinating murals.

This afternoon you will enjoy a leisurely River Float tour down the El Fuerte River, where you will encounter numerous types of birds and plant life that are native to this tropical environment. You will also have the chance to see the ancient Petroglyphs carved into the rocks that line the river.

El Fuerte – Creel
Today you get to do it all over again on your return trip to Chihuahua, this time climbing from sea level to an elevation of 8,071 feet before descending nearly 3,500 feet as you enter the high plateau country of Mexico. Spectacular rivers, canyons, mountains, and towering cliffs await you.

Upon arriving Creel at around 5:15 pm you will be transferred to your hotel for the final evening of the trip. Afternoon and evening is at your leisure.

Creel - El Paso
