Due to circumstances beyond our control, some routes may vary due to climatic conditions, engineering works or strikes, visits may change and departure and arrival times of the train may be altered. |

Purchases to be hand-carried home
For purchases made abroad which are being hand-carried home, you need to keep all sales receipts. It is also suggested that you pack your foreign purchases together in one bag (separate from your other personal belongings). |
Credit card purchases
Take the time to read the charge slips for credit purchases before you sign them. This may seem obvious, but in the excitement of making a foreign purchase, travelers sometimes overlook this and are unpleasantly surprised when they return home and are billed by the credit card company. Taking a
few moments to review the charge slip before signing it (and computing the exchange rate to be sure you are charged the right amount) may help to avoid problems later. |
National treasures
There are 836 national historic sites, designated in honor of people, places and events that figure in the country's history.
Purchases of "national treasures" for export from any country is strictly illegal and that the onus rests entirely on the buyer. |
Wildlife
Canada maintains 38 national parks, which cover about 2 percent of the country's landmass. In addition Canada has over 1,000 provincial parks and nearly 50 territorial parks.
